The Westlake Hotel

The New Toronto Hotel was constructed on the southeast corner of Lakeshore and Fourth Street in around the 1930s. The Almont Hotel, (which was formerly and widely known as the New Toronto Hotel) and the New Toronto Hotel coexist until Almont Hotel closed down in the early 1980s. The 15,000 square foot building was eventually renamed into Boulevard Inn. In July 1980, the Inn got involved in a murder case. In the early 2000s, it became the Jay-Jay’s Inn nightclub, bar, and lounge.
